About Acousmatics Blog

February 2nd, 2009

My name is Anna Griffiths, and I am in my second year of University studying a BA Hons in Music at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. My main instruments are jazz voice and piano, and this year I have begun to learn the Marimba.

This edublogs account is for the year two module ‘Acousmatics’ which I have been studying during semester two at ARU. Although I was keen to learn about composing and diffusion, I didn’t grab onto it straight away and found alot of the composing side a real challenge and difficult to get into. However, after a few weeks of struggling with Logic I began to process and arrange my recordings, and began to write blogs on my progress.

I used audio recordings for the first time in composition one, and incorporated my piano skills into composition two. So please listen and give feedback as now I am becoming a little more confident with using Logic and would like to progress further.
